The Year Dot
(Film)
Evalution Media Production
Written, directed and produced by
As lockdown traps Dot in solitude, her plans for one final celebration fade away. But when her family begins to send teddies for comfort, the teddies gradually come to life, if only in Dot’s mind. Dot must confront the blurred line between loneliness, love, and the imagination that saves us.

A heartwarming short film about loneliness and connection, inspired by their late grandma – and really, all of the grandmas caught in the pandemic.
With a beautiful original score by composer Aaron McNicholas, this was Eva’s first short after completing her MA in Screenwriting. The journey wasn’t without its challenges, but thanks to the incredible co-production and editing of Joseph Graham, a fantastic cast, and the unwavering support of their family and friends, the film came to life.
Both the script and film have received multiple festival accolades, including recent wins at FilmHaus in Berlin and The White Rose Film Festival.
The story is now being adapted for the stage, giving it a new life in a different form.

Emotions In Motion
(Live Performance)
Arcanic Events
Written by Eva-Marie Wilshere
Having performed in many Brighton Fringe Festival events, Eva was commissioned to write for Arcanic Events in 2024. Given just a working title, Emotions In Motion: How Circus Saved My Life became a powerful performance piece.

The writing incorporated many talented circus performers to create a unique and entertaining experience for audiences at the 3 sold-out shows.
With motifs of belonging and struggle within the creative industry, each character embodied a different emotion, leading us on a journey to acceptance and finding community. The show will be repeated at future events, having earned 5-star reviews.
Local Girl
(Film)
Evalution Media Production
Written, directed, produced, and edited by
Luci is a teenager desperate to play grown-up. With her partner-in-crime, Becky, she slips into stolen designer dresses and sneaks into bars, chasing the thrill of being someone else.
But when Luci flirts with Derek one night, the game of make-believe becomes reality and she’s forced to face the truth: pretending to be someone else can come at a high cost.
Eva’s debut film, she created, directed and edited it from the ground up, while also casting and assembling the crew.
Collaborating with a brilliant DOP, Justin Hunting, whose flair for lighting helped craft a dark, moody atmosphere, heightened the suspense. They were aided by the wonderful composer, Michael W. Bell.
Every frame was designed to draw the audience in, to make them lean forward… and then hit them with a twist they wouldn’t see coming. In just ten minutes, they delivered something that truly lingered — a story that shocked and stayed with people long after the credits rolled.
Homeless By The Sea
(TV Documentary)
Evalution Media Production
Directed, produced, narrated and edited by
Created in early 2017, Homeless By The Sea began as a personal response to the visible rise in homelessness across Brighton and the shifting public attitudes surrounding it.

What started as a passion project became a powerful Brighton-based documentary exploring life without shelter in a city known for its seaside charm.
Eva directed, produced, narrated, and edited the film, working alongside a small but deeply committed crew who shared the same drive to tell the story with honesty, empathy, and care.
The documentary went on to become Brighton’s Latest TV’s most-watched video, resonating strongly with local audiences.
The aim of Homeless By The Sea was simple: to encourage understanding, compassion, and visibility for people too often overlooked. Sadly, while the film captured a moment in time, the issue it highlights has only grown more urgent since its release, making the story no less relevant today.

Hosted by Eva, the series blended warmth, curiosity, and thoughtful challenge — creating space for nuance, disagreement, and connection.
Eva’s World reflects Evalution Media’s commitment to socially engaged storytelling, community dialogue, and television that invites participation rather than preaching.
Red Terror – Whitehawk
(Music Video)
Evalution Media Production
Directed, produced and edited by
Local punk-rock band Red Terror commissioned Evalution Media to create their very first music video for the track Whitehawk.
Working closely with the band, we developed the concept and delivered the full production – from direction through to post-production – ensuring the final video reflected their raw sound and uncompromising energy.

Shot on location in Brighton, the video leans into a gritty, DIY aesthetic that complements the band’s punk roots while still delivering a polished, cinematic finish. A surprise snowfall on the shoot day (a happy accident) added unexpected texture and atmosphere, giving the video extra visual depth and a sense of place that couldn’t be planned.
This project is a great example of our collaborative approach to music video production, combining creative flexibility, strong direction, and responsive filmmaking to elevate an artist’s vision.
